CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly 18 years since we lost Chris Farley.
We all have a favorite line, a favorite character, a favorite skit that no one could have pulled off with as much graceful ferocity as Chris did.
As the new documentary, “I Am Chris Farley” rolls into theaters, who better to look back at the legend than his own brother, Kevin?
FOX 32’s Jake Hamilton sat down to talk about Chris right where it all began – on stage at Second City.
The new documentary features powerful testimonials and hilarious anecdotes from members of both of Chris’ families – both his actual family and on-screen family.
But what it doesn’t feature is a look into his sudden death at the age of 33 - and Kevin says that’s exactly how it should be.
Made with the blessing of Chris’ family, the documentary serves as a reminder of just what an incredible talent we lost.
We may argue about which character was the best, which sketch was the funniest, whether he was better on stage at Second City or at studio 8h for SNL.
But there’s one thing we will never argue: That he is missed.
