CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - It's a trailer so powerful it doesn’t need any words.
Son of Saul tells the story of Saul Ausländer, an Auschwitz prisoner who is part of the Sonderkommando, a group of men forced to burn the corpses of their own people.
The movie won the Grand Prix award at Cannes this year. It's been nominated for a Golden Globe and it's already considered the front runner for the foreign-language film Academy Award.
The film’s director, László Nemes, and the star of the movie Géza Röhrig joined Good Day Chicago on Friday to talk about the film.
Son of Saul opens in Chicago on Friday, January 15.
