San Francisco International Airport has a therapy pig to help soothe your holiday travel stress

- People flying in and out of San Francisco International Airport (SFO) for the holidays may get to see something that is literally one of a kind.

You’ve heard of therapy dogs, right? Well, SFO is the only airport in the US that has a therapy PIG. LiLou is her name, and you’ll know her when you see her. Her hooves are painted pink, and she’s wearing a tutu and a captain’s hat.

LiLou is part of SFO’s “Wag Brigade,”  a carefully selected group of over 300 therapy animals that can be found roaming the terminals in the airport. All of the animals in SFO get certified by the San Francisco SPCA. In existence since 1968, the SF SPCA is devoted to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs.

Holiday travel is the worst. Security lines can seemingly go on forever, but if you are in San Francisco at least, maybe spending some time with LiLou will help you find your happy place.

It's hard to feel anything other than delight when confronted with a pig in a sombrero.
