If you can't beat it, eat it: How to cook invasive Asian carp

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - They're an invasive species in lakes and rivers across the country but some of our city's greatest nature and culinary minds are saying, "if you can't beat it, eat it!" when it comes to Asian carp.

Dirk Fucik of Dirk's Fish and Gourmet Shop and Joanne So Young Dill, from Friends of the Chicago River, joined Good Day Chicago to tells us a bit about the fish and why they’re hosting an Asian Carp dinner.

Chicago Friends of the River's second Asian carp grill is at 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 24 at the McCormick Bridgehouse & Chicago River Museum.
