Beverly Johnson shares her fairytale journey in new book

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - Beverly Johnson rose to fame when she became the first African American model to appear on the cover of Vogue in 1974.  The New York Times named her one of the 20th century's most influential people, and last year, she made headlines again when she wrote an article for Vanity Fair magazine about her attempted rape by Bill Cosby.

Now, Johnson has penned a memoir of her life, "Beverly Johnson: The Face that Changed It All."  In it, she tells of her fairytale journey going from a regular girl in Buffalo, New York to the runways of the world.
