How to winterize your body to sidestep SAD

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - Even though you know the clocks have changed, it's always a shock when Daylight Saving rolls around and you walk outside at 5 p.m. and it's already dark out.

All that darkness can make you feel tired, depressed, and irritable. It's called seasonal affective disorder and it affects as many as 20 percent of Americans.

James LaValle, a clinical pharmacist, board certified clinical nutritionist, metabolic expert, joined us LIVE on GDC to give us a few tips on how to avoid seasonal sadness.
