Chicago high school students face off in Cooking Up Change competition

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - Students from 16 Chicago schools competed against each other this past weekend for the Cooking Up Change competition.

Cooking up Change challenges high school culinary students to create a menu that's not only healthy, but also meets the USDA guidelines and a $1 dollar a meal budget that school food service programs face.

This year's winner was Washington High Cchool  on the Southeast Side. They won with a Cajun chicken lettuce wrap and are now headed to Washington DC this spring for the national competition!
