CHICAGO (FOX 32 NEWS) - After years of negotiations, the Terracotta army is finally in Chicago.
The clay statue warriors were discovered In 1974, when a group of farmers found them while attempting to dig a well in China’s Shaanxi province.
The farmers found a chamber containing the Terracotta army, roughly 6,000 life-sized figures arranged in military formation, each one unique in its own right.
Now, the only place in North America they can be seen this year is Chicago.
Tom Skwerski, project manager for exhibition at the Field Museum, said after a seven years, he finally got the Terracotta army to come to the Windy City.
Jan. 8, 2017 is the absolute final day the warriors can be seen at the Field Museum.
