Ring of Fire the musical tells story of Johnny Cash and June Carter

T.S. Elliot once said, “good writers borrow, great writers steal.”

So when it comes to writing the story of Johnny Cash, who better to steal from than Johnny Cash.

They’re two of the most iconic names in music – Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash.

In the musical “Ring of Fire,” more than 30 Cash songs are used in a sort of quasi-biography that tells the famed story of the man in black.

The role of johnny is tackled by Kent M. Lewis and Michael Monroe Goodman, while Cory Goodrich takes on his beloved June.

And for the trio, the art of becoming two of the most recognizable people in pop culture lies between impression and interpretation.

But when put to the test, they proved that they’d done their homework.

But in the end, as three actors who have had immense success around the country in these roles, i had to remind them of Cash’s immortal words: “Success is having to worry about every damn thing in the world except money.”
