Chipotle making changes, offers hourly workers new benefits

Chipotle Mexican Grill will begin offering entry level and hourly workers the same benefits it gives salaried employees, according to a report.

CNN Money reports these changes will take effect July 1, a spokesman confirmed.

Recruitment strategy manager J.D. Cummings said that Chipotle wants to attract qualified workers and give them opportunities to advance, according to Restaurant News.

Cummings also said the company's "target demographic" is high school and college students, which the benefits will help attract.

Chipotle has not released how much paid time off hourly workers will get and what conditions, if any, they must meet to qualify for tuition reimbursement.
