15-year-old Chicago girl sexually abused in Jefferson Park
CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) - A 15-year-old girl was sexually abused Thursday in the Jefferson Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.
The girl was walking eastbound in the 5500 block of West Balmoral Avenue when a man approached her from behind, covered her mouth and forced her into an alley, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.
Once in the alley the man grabbed the girl’s breasts and groin area, police said. She was able to break free and run away.
The offender is described as a Hispanic man between 20-25 years old, 140-160 pounds, with a light complexion, police said. He has a shoehorn-shaped scar over his right eyebrow and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, khaki shorts, running shoes and carrying a black cross-body style gym bag.
