Police: Four men shot in North Lawndale

- At least four men were shot Tuesday night in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the Southwest Side, police said.

About 9:20 p.m., the group was standing in a vacant lot in the 1600 block of South Christiana when they got into an argument with another group of people, according to Chicago Police.

Gunfire erupted and a 22-year-old man was shot in the back; a 24-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the right foot; a 25-year-old man was shot in the right arm and chest; and another 25-year-old man was shot in the left arm, police said. They were all taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where all of their conditions were stabilized.

Fire officials initially said six people were wounded in the shooting, but police could not confirm that information.

A police source said all four men are documented gang members.
