Two charged with firing shots on Eisenhower Expressway

SUN-TIMES MEDIA WIRE - Two people have been charged in connection with a shooting Sunday morning on the Eisenhower Expressway on the West Side.

Norris A. Stevenson, 26;, and Joenglish L. Lewis, 30, both from Chicago, each face one felony count of aggravated discharge of a firearm, according to Illinois State Police.

Troopers responded about 10:50 a.m. to a shooting in the westbound lanes of I-290 near the Harlem Avenue exit, police said. No one was injured in the shooting.

During the investigation, Stevenson and Lewis were identified as suspects and subsequently arrested, police said.

They were ordered held in Cook County Jail on $50,000 bonds, court records show. Both are due back in court Friday.
