This weekend, Chicago passed another violent milestone.
A website which tracks homicides
by type, location, date, race of victim/assailant, and other metrics, said more 4,000 people have been shot in Chicago so far this year.
As of 8:40 p.m. on Nov. 27, the count was 4,037 people shot since January 1. Of those, 652 have died.
Thanksgiving weekend was particularly violent in the Chicago area, with at least 10 killed and 52 wounded.
