$2M bond for 3 charged in Lake View home invasion that left elderly woman hurt
CHICAGO (STMW) - Bond was set at $2 million for each of the three men charged with a home invasion that left a 77-year-old woman injured Saturday morning in the Lake View neighborhood on the North Side.
Tracie J. Towbridge, Lilearl T. Taylor, both 19, and 18-year-old Eli R. Ruff each face one felony count of home invasion with a dangerous weapon, two felony counts of burglary and one misdemeanor count of criminal trespassing to a vehicle, Chicago Police announced Sunday.
Officers were called about a burglary in the 3600 block of North Magnolia about 6 a.m. Saturday, police said. When they arrived they saw that the home’s rear door had been forced open.
The officers walked in and found the unconscious woman lying on the floor with injuries to her face. She was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where her condition was stabilized, police said.
The three men are accused of stealing the woman’s property and car, as well as burglarizing another apartment in the building.
Bond was set at $2 million each for Towbridge, of the 11500 block of South Lafayette; Taylor, of the 6700 block of South Perry; and Ruff, of the 7300 block of South Damen, according to the Cook County sheriff’s office. All are next due in court Friday.
