3 stabbed, 1 battered in fight on West Side

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) - Three men were stabbed and another was hit in the head with a bottle in a fight Saturday night in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The men, ages 32, 51 and 52, were involved in a fight about 11:45 p.m. when they were stabbed in the 800 block of North Lavergne, according to Chicago Police. A 28-year-old man was also struck in the head with a bottle during the incident.

The 32-and 52-year-old were both stabbed in the abdomen and taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, police said. The 51-year-old was stabbed in the chest and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition.

The 28-year-old was not hospitalized, police said.

The circumstances involved in the fight were not immediately clear and were still under investigation Sunday morning, police said.
