CHICAGO (STMW) - A third man has been charged with the armed robbery of two people near Oak Street Beach in the Gold Coast last October.

Bond was set at $500,000 for 20-year-old Daniel Morales, who faces two felony counts of armed robbery, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County sheriff’s office.

Noe Mondragon, 22, was previously charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon; and 18-year-old Luis Salgado-Camargo was charged with two felony counts of armed robbery.

The three men robbed a 27-year-old man and 26-year-woman at knifepoint in the 1100 block of North Lake Shore Drive about 11:45 p.m. on Oct. 24, 2015, police said.

The man tried to disarm the knife-wielding suspect and was stabbed in the back, police said. The robbers then ran away with the victims’ cell phone, wallet, credit cards and passport.

The 27-year-old was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said. The woman was not hurt.

Morales, of the 4100 block of West 25th Place, was ordered held on a $500,000 million bond and is due back in court Feb. 29.

Mondragon, of the 4100 block of South Artesian; and Salgado-Camargo, of the 4100 block of West 25th Street, are next scheduled to appear in court March 29.
