Man wanted for attempting to lure boy in Norwood Park

CHICAGO (STMW) - Police are searching for a man who attempted to lure a boy into a car in the Norwood Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side last month.

The boy was walking home around 8 p.m. on Jan. 21 in the 5600 block of North McVicker Avenue, when he noticed a vehicle following him, police said. When the boy began to jog away, the vehicle sped up next to him.

A man in the front passenger side of the vehicle shouted, “Get over here,” at the boy, police said. The boy ran home and told his parents, who called the police.

The suspect was wearing a hoodie and is described as a 25 to 35-year-old black man with a dark complexion, police said. The vehicle was a black, 4-door unknown make or model.
