Chicago police release surveillance photos of suspects in Green Line robbery attempt

CHICAGO (STMW) - Chicago Police released surveillance photos Monday of three suspects who tried to rob a woman more than a week ago at a South Side Green Line station.

The suspects followed the victim after she got off the Green Line train at the 43rd Street station in the 300 block of East 43rd at 7:49 p.m. Jan. 29, according to a community alert from Area Central detectives.

While still in the station, one of the suspects struck her and tried to take her cellphone, police said. The victim suffered minor injuries, and the suspects ran away.

The three are described as black males between 16- 20, 6-foot and 6-foot-3, and 160-200 pounds.
