Armed robber fires shot inside Waukegan liquor store

Detectives from the Waukegan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division are investigating an armed robbery and aggravated discharge of a firearm that occurred at Big Daddy’s Liquors (2811 Grand Avenue in Waukegan) on January 10th, 2016 at 10:20pm.

The store clerk reported to police that as he was closing up his store the suspect entered and demanded money.  The suspect fired one round during the robbery and stuck a cooler in the store.  The clerk was not injured.

The suspect is described as a male black, 5’10” with a medium build.  The suspect was also wearing a black leather coat, jeans, and a yellow cloth around his face.  The suspect was last seen fleeing the area on foot.  An undisclosed amount of cash was taken and the suspect is still considered armed and dangerous.
