Armed robbery reported at Waukegan cellphone store

SUN-TIMES MEDIA WIRE - An armed robbery was reported Saturday night at a cellphone store in north suburban Waukegan.

About 7:45 p.m., officers responded to a cellphone store in the 1300 block of North Lewis Avenue, according to Waukegan police.

Employees and customers told officers they had been robbed at gunpoint of money and belongings, police said.

The suspect, described as a 6-foot tall black male wearing a hoodie over his face, was last seen running away, police said.
