CHICAGO (SUN TIMES MEDIA WIRE) - A man barricaded himself inside a Hyde Park neighborhood home early Monday, prompting a Chicago Police SWAT response on the South Side.
Police responded about 2 a.m. to a home in the 5400 block of South Ridgewood Court, where a man was barricaded inside, according to police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro.
It was not known if the man was armed, whether anyone else was in the home, or why he was barricaded inside, he said.
The man was placed into custody without incident by 2:57 a.m., Alfaro said. No injuries were reported.
