Bomb squad investigating unattended package left outside O'Hare

A Chicago police bomb squad is investigating an unattended package that was left outside a terminal Thursday night at O’Hare International Airport.

At 9:13 p.m., officers responded to a report of an unattended package left on a curb on the lower level of Terminal 1E, police said.

The bomb squad cleared the scene, police said. Vehicle and pedestrian traffic is now open in the area.

Due to the possible threat, Blue Line service was halted about 10 p.m. and power was cut off from the Pulaski stop to the Forest Park stop, according to CTA Irene Ferradaz. By 10:40 p.m., all trains were running again with minor delays.

No further information was immediately available.
