Chicago man in serious condition after being shot on CTA bus

SUN-TIMES MEDIA WIRE - One man was killed and another was wounded while riding a CTA bus in a shooting Friday afternoon in the North Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

A 20-year-old man was walking in the 1500 block of North Leclaire when someone walked up and fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the neck and leg, and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:15 p.m., according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

A 57-year-old man was struck during the shooting while riding a CTA bus, police said. He was shot in the back and taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition.
