The Chicago Police Foundation plans to donate 2,000 customized first-aid kits to Chicago Police officers.

The kits will be given to officers who have completed the Law Enforcement Medical and Rescue Training (LEMART) program, according to a statement from the foundation.

Officers who completed the training course will be given the kits “to administer rapid, on-site aid for serious wounds and injuries until appropriate medical help can arrive,” the foundation said.
