Chicago woman shot in head while sitting in car

CHICAGO (STMW) - A woman was shot in the head Tuesday afternoon in the Far South Side Riverdale neighborhood.
The 38-year-old woman was shot in the head while sitting in a vehicle in the 300 block of East 134th Street at 1:53 p.m., police said. The shooter exited a white 4-door car and fired several shots before getting back into the car and driving away northbound on Calumet Avenue.
The victim was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where her condition was stabilized, police said.
