Three face charges after woman stabbed by sister in Gresham

Three people are facing misdemeanor charges after a woman was stabbed during a domestic fight with her sister Monday night in the South Side Gresham neighborhood.

Taijah McKinney, 21, was fighting with her sister, 25-year-old Jessica Foster, about 11:40 p.m. in the 7600 block of South May, when McKinney was stabbed in the left cheek, according to Chicago Police.

She was taken in good condition to Holy Cross Hospital, police said.

Foster, of the 6600 block of South Oakley, was charged with simple assault, and resisting or obstructing a peace officer, both misdemeanors, police said.

McKinney, of the 7600 block of South May, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of battery causing bodily harm, police said.

A third person, 46-year-old Marvin McKinney, was charged with one misdemeanor count of resisting or obstructing a peace officer.

All three are next scheduled to appear in court Nov. 7.
