FBI: Woman robs same bank twice in 3 months

RIVERDALE (Sun-Times Media Wire) - A woman who was wearing a pink headscarf when she robbed a bank Friday afternoon in south suburban Riverdale is suspected of robbing the same branch less than three months ago.

The Chase Bank branch at 255 W. 144th St. in Riverdale was robbed at 5:49 p.m. Friday, according to the FBI.

The woman did not show a weapon and no one was injured during the robbery, the FBI said.

She is described as a Middle Eastern woman in her late 20s to early 30s, standing about 5-foot-5, weighing about 130 pounds with a slender build, the FBI said. The suspect was wearing a pink headscarf, a pink shirt, light gray sweatpants and black shoes.

The woman is also suspected of robbing the Chase branch on 144th Street at 3:49 p.m. on June 23, the FBI said.

In that robbery, she was wearing a a purple headscarf, a black leather jacket, black and white patterned pants and black shoes.
