Man stabbed with box cutter on Red Line platform in the Loop

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) - A man was stabbed in the neck with a box cutter during a fight Saturday night on the platform at the Jackson Red Line station in the Loop.

At 10:10 p.m., the 37-year-old man was standing on the Red Line platform in the 200 block of South State Street when he got into a fight with two males and a female, Chicago Police said.

One of the males then stabbed the man in the neck with a box cuter, police said.

The man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
