Man stabbed with sword in Belmont Central

SUN-TIMES MEDIA WIRE - A man was stabbed with a sword Saturday afternoon in the Northwest Side Belmont Central neighborhood.

The man, whose age was not immediately available, was “slashed” in the hand with a sword about 4 p.m. in the 3000 block of North Mango while arguing with another man, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Community First Hospital, where he was treated for his wound, police said.

Additional details were not immediately available Saturday evening.
