One man charged, second sought after gunshot fired in Tinley Park

SUN-TIMES MEDIA WIRE - A 22-year-old man was charged and a warrant was issued for another 22-year-old man Monday in connection with a shooting incident early Saturday in west suburban Tinley Park.

Around 2:40 a.m., police responded to a disturbance and reports of a shot fired in a parking lot in the 17300 block of Oak Park Avenue, Tinley Park police said. Once police arrived, Ramsey T. Shelby and Ahmad R. Ismail drove away.

No one was injured by the gunshot.

Shelby, of Orland Park, was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon and aggravated discharge of a firearm, police said. He was taken into custody and transported to Cook County Jail.

Ismail, 22, of Tinley Park, is not in custody and an arrest warrant was issued charging aggravated fleeing and eluding, police said. The bond carries a $50,000 bond.
