A man was stabbed to death by his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend early Tuesday in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood on the Northwest Side, police said.

About 3:30 a.m., a 19-year-old man was picking up his ex-girlfriend from her new boyfriend’s house in the 5000 block of West Dickens when the boyfriend stabbed him, according to Chicago Police.

The 19-year-old suffered multiple stab wounds and was taken to Community First Medical Center, where he died at 4:55 a.m. The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified him as Kirino Fabian of the 2900 block of North Mango.

A 20-year-old man was stabbed in the right arm while trying to defend the ex-boyfriend, police said. He was taken to the same hospital in good condition.

Police said a man in his 20s was arrested for the stabbing, with charges pending Tuesday morning.
