Schaumburg police warn residents of home burglaries

SCHAUMBURG (STMW) - Schaumburg police are warning residents of a home burglary pattern near three subdivisions in the northwest suburb.

The burglaries occur at different times of day when residents aren’t home in and around Park St. Claire, Lexington Fields and Plumwood Estates subdivisions, according to a statement from the Schaumburg Police Department.

The suspect or suspects entered homes through a back door, and usually took jewelry and money, police said.

Police are asking residents to call 911 if they notice any suspicious activity in their neighborhood.

If possible, it is important to note a suspicious vehicle’s make, model, color, license plate number, description of occupants, and any distinctive features like damage or tinted windows.

If a suspicious person is seen, residents should give police a physical description like race, height, weight, hair color, age, and clothing description.
