Three wounded in Austin drive-by shooting

Three men were wounded in a drive-by shooting in the West Side Austin neighborhood Monday evening.

The three were outside in the 400 block of South Lotus about 5:48 p.m. when someone in a passing vehicle shot them, police said.

One man, 19, was shot in the back and taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.

Another man, 23, was shot in the buttocks and listed in good condition at Mount Sinai Hospital, police said. The third man, 18, took himself to Mount Sinai, but the extent of his injuries were not immediately known.
