Two men hold up Westmont bank with handgun

WESTMONT (STMW) - Two men held up a bank Thursday afternoon in west suburban Westmont.

The suspects entered the West Suburban Bank at 6400 S. Cass Ave. in Westmont at 12:15 p.m. and ordered all the employees to the ground, according to the FBI.

The two men yelled “threatening demands” and the employees quickly handed over money, according to the FBI. The suspects ran out of the bank, and no one was injured.

The first suspect was described as a black man in his 30s or 40s, about 6-foot with a medium build. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans, sunglasses and black shoes, and was armed with a handgun.

The second suspect was a black male between 5-foot-9 and 5-foot-11 wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans and white tennis shoes with red laces.
