Talk about a close call! A driver in San Jose, Calif., was nearly killed when a giant piece of metal slid off a truck, bounced off the freeway and impaled his car.
An image tweeted by the San Jose Fire Department shows a massive metal I-beam - believed to be part of a truck loading ramp - crashed straight through the BMW’s windshield.
Amazingly, the metal beam pierced the car right between the two front seats, missing the driver by mere inches. He managed to pull the vehicle over and walked away from the scary incident with only a scratch.
“We all pretty much agreed this guy needs to go out and get a lottery ticket today,” Capt. Patrick Jones, of the San Jose Fire Department, said.
