Police: Md. man arrested for biting woman's finger off during fight at restaurant

Annapolis police said a Lothian man was arrested after he bit the tip of a woman’s finger off after an altercation at a Jimmy John’s restaurant.

Police said officers responded to the Jimmy John’s restaurant on Main Street at around 2:17 a.m. Sunday for the report of a fight between the suspect and the victim’s friend. The victim reported that she was attempting to break up the fight when the suspect bit her left ring finger before he left the restaurant.

The fire department helped transport the victim to Anne Arundel Medical Center for treatment.

Officers arrested 26-year-old Justin Brown after he was located behind the restaurant with blood on his face and shirt. Officers said they smelled alcohol on his breath, according to the police report.

Brown was charged with assault and disorderly conduct. He was released after posting $35,000 bond.
