A New York woman claimed in a lawsuit that one of the dresses she bought at a Zara store came with a dead rat sewn into the hem.

Cailey Fiesel bought two dresses from the store in Greenwich, Conn. in July and wore it for the first time to her job a month later, the New York Daily News reported Monday. The lawsuit alleges that Fiesel began to smell something rotten and couldn’t immediately identify the source.

The lawsuit goes on to say that the 24-year-old woman started to feel what felt like a loose string grazing her leg. “Without giving it much thought she reached down with her hand to try and locate the piece of string that was rubbing against her.”

Court documents disclosed several black-and-white photos of the alleged dead rat in the dress with one of its “appendages protruding.”

“To her utter shock and disbelief, as she ran her hand over the hem of the dress she felt an unusual bulge and suddenly realized that it was not a string that was rubbing against her leg but was instead a leg rubbing against her leg. The leg of a dead rodent that is,” court documents say.
