CPS contingency plans to affect over 300,000 students

- Chicago Public Schools is expected to release contingency plans Tuesday for parents whose children will be affected by the one-day CTU strike on Friday.

Teachers planned the April 1 "Day of Action" strike to demand more state funding for the under-financed state of CPS. More than 300,000 children will be affected by the strike and subsequent change of schedule on Friday.

There will be over 250 locations around the city where parents who cannot make other arrangements can leave their kids. Those locations include local schools, libraries and parks.

You can find a list of those CPS-approved locations here.
