Charter schools supporters rally to condemn state budget impasse

The Illinois Network of Charter Schools was out in full force Wednesday morning outside of U.S. Cellular Field, protesting the Illinois budget stalemate.

Charter schools, which largely depend on public money to operate, paralleled actions taken by the Chicago Teachers Union to condemn the state budget impasse.

Hundreds gathered in front of a podium Wednesday to let their feelings about the the Springfield stalemate be known.
