- Chicago showed its support for Orlando Monday during a vigil that drew hundreds.

It was held at The Center on Halsted, which is an LGBT community center in Boystown.

It was a somber event, yet energetic and hopeful.

The lobby at Center on Halsted was packed, with hundreds more forced to stand on the sidewalk outside and listen.

People from all around the city poured into the center that was filled with politicians and performers, with many of them speaking of sorrow and sadness for the Pulse club shooting victims, but also solidarity.

A memorial that was started Sunday night at the intersection of Halsted and Roscoe has had people coming and going all day, leaving candles, messages and flowers.
