Blue Line service resumes after woman threatens to jump at Damen

- CTA Blue Line trains were temporarily halted Friday morning after someone threatened to jump onto the tracks in the Wicker Park neighborhood.

Officers were called to the Damen station at 8:21 a.m. after a female threatened to jump onto the tracks, according to Chicago Police. She did not jump and was eventually taken to a hospital for mental health evaluation.

Details about her age or which hospital she was taken to were not immediately available, police said. No injuries were reported.

Trains were halted at Western because of the police activity, the CTA said in a tweet posted at 8:26 a.m. As of 9:11 a.m., service was resuming with residual delays.
