Pumpkin harvest spells bad news for pie lovers

Bad news for you pumpkin pie lovers. The pumpkin harvest could be down as much as a third this year.

Libby's, a major canned pumpkin manufacturer that grows most its crop in Illinois, says it's been a rough season.

A rainy spring and a dry summer wreaked havoc on the pumpkin crops.

There should be enough pumpkins to get through the holiday season but nothing more until harvest of 2016.

Almost 90 percent of U.S. grown pumpkins are from central Illinois.
