Police warn of robberies, kidnapping in Logan Square

Police are warning residents of two recent robbery and kidnapping incidents in the Logan Square neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

CHICAGO (STMW) - Police are warning residents of two recent robbery and kidnapping incidents in the Logan Square neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

At 11:11 p.m. Oct. 22, a man and a woman walked up to a female in the 2400 block of North Fairfield and robbed her at gunpoint, according to a community alert from Chicago Police. The suspects then took the victim in their vehicle to various locations to withdraw money from ATMs.

At 10:09 p.m. Oct. 24, the man and woman robbed a female victim in the 2400 block of North Richmond and attempted to take her into their car, but were unsuccessful, police said.

The robbers were armed with a chrome handgun, police said.

The male suspect is described as a 135-pound, 18-to-27-year-old black man, standing between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-9 with brown eyes, short black hair and a dark complexion, police said. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue or black jeans.

The female suspect is described as a 5-foot-9, 200-pound black woman, between 18 and 20 years old, with brown eyes, straight black hair and a medium complexion, police said. She was wearing a gray baseball cap, a black hooded sweatshirt and black leggings.

They were driving a dark car, possibly a Toyota or a Pontiac Grand Prix, police said.
