4 hurt — 3 critically — in Lake View fire

The Chicago Police Department’s Bomb & Arson Unit is investigating an early Friday fire in the Lake View neighborhood that left four people hurt, three critically.

The fire broke out in a six-unit building in the 3400 block of North Janssen about 1:48 a.m., according to police.

Two people — a 22-year-old man and a woman whose age was not immediately known — were taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical condition, police said.

A 35-year-old man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, also in critical condition, police said. A 23-year-old woman, who was taken taken to Northwestern, was listed in serious condition.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation early Friday, police said.
