4 injured in West Garfield Park house fire

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) - Four people were hurt in a West Garfield Park neighborhood house fire Friday morning.

Crews responded at 7:06 a.m. to the blaze in the attic of a two-and-a-half-story home in the 4000 block of West Harrison, according to Fire Media Affairs Chief Joe Roccasalva.

Four people from the home were taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, with one in fair-to-serious condition and three in good-to-fair condition, Roccasalva said.

The fire was brought under control in less than half an hour. Its cause is under investigation.
