CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - The trailer for Spike Lee’s upcoming movie ‘Chiraq’ was released Tuesday afternoon, and since it's release, Chicago has been buzzing about it!
Lee spent about six weeks filming his movie in Chicago, and now he's now talking about the experience. He notes that during the time filming, out of control gun violence never ceased. And Lee has said it’s his responsibility as a filmmaker to reflect the harsh reality of the crime in Chicago.
Initially, there was a lot of controversy surrounding the title of the film and whether it is a slam against Chicago. But the movie plot isn't quite what you think it is.
FOX 32 News wanted to hear what Chicagoans had to say about the trailer and plot.
The movie is set to be released December 4.
