CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - The terrorist attacks in Paris have people questioning how they would react in a similar situation, fight or flight? It's a hard question to answer and some said they wish they could answer it differently.
Most people that FOX 32 talked to on the street say they would flee and some said they would like to fight, but would probably run with the rest of the crowds.
“It's the honorable thing to do, but I think instincts would kick in and you would just leave,” said John McKenzie.
University of Chicago’s Dr. Royce Lee said the decision of fight or flight is practically instant.
“Almost too fast to be considered a choice - we have instincts, we have reflexes, these things can happen in under a second. A person may find themselves reacting aggressively or with fear,” said Dr. Lee, who explains it would be hard to change that thinking.
