CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' is expected to shatter box office records. In Chicago, every single show at AMC River East is sold out for Thursday night.
"Star Wars has been a huge, it's just been huge in film and just our culture in general so it's just really exciting to be a part of something special,” said fan Jakeel Johnson.
"It's up there with the birth of my kids, my wedding day, graduating college, it's up there,” said Kwasi Wilson.
Two of the biggest Star Wars fans in Chicago are brothers, Rashidi and Kwasi Wilson.
"For Star Wars fans, this is our World Series," said Rashidi.
"I saw every movie over and over and over again,” Kwasi added.
Each came equipped with the shirts, the hat and the socks!
"I just hope it's as epic as they are making it out to be,” Kwasi said.
And he's not the only one, or should I say, “Obe-one.”
"If JJ Abrams messes this up, I don't know, I'll never watch Star Wars again. So this is huge, there's a lot riding on the line tonight,” said Pete Schmanoes.
"Believe in the movie you must," said Ty Heffer, who was dressed as Yoda.
