CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - Oh no! The Willis Tower has slipped off the list of the top ten tallest buildings in the world.
Chicagoans can blame the Shanghai Tower for booting the beloved Windy City tower from the list.
The Shanghai Tower was completed in November, and took over the number two spot on the list. That shuffled the deck and moved the Willis from number ten to number 11.
But did you know we were once number one?
When the Willis Tower was still known as the Sears Tower, it held the number one spot. However the skyscraper lost the title in 1998 to the Petronas Tower in Malaysia.
The current number one is a skyscraper in Dubai that is a half of a mile tall.
